Wizard Sort
Potion puzzles for the magically minded. Pour coloured essences between wizard vials until every flask holds a single colour — one hundred levels of bubbling logic, no time limits.
Wizard Sort is a colour-sorting puzzle with a wizarding coat of paint. Each level hands you a shelf of glass vials filled with layered essences — ruby, azure, emerald, amber — scrambled on purpose. Tap one vial, tap another, and the top layer pours across if the receiving vial has room and a matching colour on top. Empty every mess into perfectly single-colour flasks to clear the stage.
Why It Hooks
- One-tap depth. Two taps per move, yet later levels demand planning three pours ahead.
- Undo is always on. A wrong pour is never a dead end; rewind and try a different order.
- Escalating board size. More vials, more colours and tighter free space as you advance.
- No timers, no energy gates. Play the puzzle, not the clock.
Strategy Notes
- Never pour a colour into a vial that buries a different one — you will have to dig it out later.
- Keep one vial as a buffer. Empty flasks are the most valuable resource on the shelf.
- Work the largest stack first. The deepest layer is the hardest to reach once everything fills up.
- Chase single-colour tops early. A vial topped with one clean colour becomes a safe landing zone.
🎮 How to Play
Basic Controls
- Tap a vial to pick up its top essence layer.
- Tap a second vial to pour it on top — this only works when the target has free space and the same colour showing, or is empty.
- Repeat until every vial contains one single colour; the level then completes automatically.
- Stuck? Use Undo to step back, or Shuffle to redistribute the layers for a small fee.
- Progress saves in your browser, so you can leave and come back to the same level.
Strategy & Advanced Tips
- Keep one vial completely empty for as long as possible. That buffer flask is your escape hatch — once you fill every vial with mixed layers you lose all flexibility.
- Work the deepest colour first. The bottom layer of a tall stack is the hardest to reach later, so identify which vial holds the rarest colour at its base and start digging there.
- Chase single-colour tops early. A vial whose top three layers are already the same colour becomes a safe landing zone; protect it rather than dumping random colours on top.
- Count before you pour. Glance at how many layers of each colour exist across the board. If a colour appears only twice, those two must merge into one vial — plan the route.
- Use Undo aggressively on later levels. There is no penalty for rewinding, and experimenting with a different pour order often reveals the solution faster than staring at the board.
Playing on Mobile vs Desktop
On a phone the vials are smaller, so zoom in with a pinch gesture if your browser supports it. Desktop players can use keyboard shortcuts: number keys 1-9 select a vial, and pressing another number pours into it. Both versions save progress locally, so switching devices mid-level is seamless as long as you stay on the same browser.
Common Mistakes
- Pouring a colour onto a vial that already has a different colour on top — you will have to dig it out later.
- Filling the buffer vial early and regretting it by layer 40.
- Ignoring the Undo button and restarting the entire level instead.

The magic theme is thin but the sorting logic is solid. Keep one big flask free as a buffer and it unblocks itself.
Level 46 has had me stuck for two days. Any hint without spoiling it? Edit: solved it, I was saving the green too early. Feel silly now.
Look for the colour that appears only once - that tube has to move first, everything else falls in behind it.
Started this on the bus and ended up doing 20 levels straight. The swirl when a flask comes out full is weirdly satisfying 🧪
