Royal Matcher
A polished match-3 with royal flair. Swap crowns, gems and goblets to trigger cascades, build rocket and bomb power-ups and clear the board objectives level by level.
Royal Matcher is a tile-swapping puzzle built around objectives rather than bare high scores. Each level asks for something specific — collect four crowns, free the ice-locked gems, bring the crates to the bottom row — and hands you a move budget to do it in. Swapping three or more matching symbols clears them and drops new ones in, and cascades are where the real points live.
Power-Ups Worth Engineering
- Four in a row creates a rocket that clears a whole line.
- Five in a square produces a bomb with a blast radius.
- Five in a line spawns a royal disc; swapping it with any colour wipes that colour from the board.
- Combining two power-ups beats a hard level faster than any lucky cascade.
Why People Stay
Objectives force planning, moves create tension, and power-up combinations create the payoff. That loop is the same one behind the biggest match-3 franchises, executed here without paywall pressure — every level is reachable with patience alone.
🎮 How to Play
Basic Controls
- Swipe a crown, gem or goblet tile to swap it with an adjacent tile.
- A swap is only valid if it creates a line of three or more identical symbols.
- Matched tiles burst, new ones fall from above, and chain reactions score bonus points.
- Special tiles (striped, wrapped, colour bomb) appear when you match four or more in a row or in an L/T shape.
- Complete the level objective — collect X crowns, clear jelly, or reach a score target — before moves run out.
Strategy & Advanced Tips
- Create special tiles deliberately. A four-in-a-row match makes a striped tile that clears an entire line; an L or T shape makes a wrapped tile that explodes a 3×3 area twice.
- Combine specials for massive clears. Swapping two adjacent specials triggers a devastating combo — striped + striped crosses an entire row and column; colour bomb + striped converts all tiles of one colour into striped tiles.
- Work from the bottom. Matching near the base causes cascades that naturally shuffle upper tiles, often creating free matches you did not plan.
- Save your colour bomb for a tight spot. When no useful swap exists, a colour bomb removes every tile of one colour regardless of position.
- Watch the move counter, not just the board. Every level has a hard move limit; three wasted swaps on low-value matches can mean the difference between clearing and retrying.
Playing on Mobile vs Desktop
The touch swipe works identically to mouse drag. On smaller screens the grid may appear compact — most phones render 8 columns comfortably in portrait mode. Desktop players can also use arrow keys plus space to select and swap tiles.
Common Mistakes
- Swapping top-row tiles repeatedly without triggering cascades below.
- Using a colour bomb when a simple three-match would have sufficed, wasting its potential.
- Ignoring the level objective text and just chasing high scores.

Around level 30 it stops being luck and starts needing a plan. Fair difficulty curve, no cheap walls.
Same here. Level 33 forced me to set up a double chain first, otherwise you run out of moves.
The crown motif is cute and the sound on a long chain is the reason I keep the volume on 👑
Match 3 where the tiles actually rearrange after a clear, not just the usual swap and hope. Killed a whole evening commute with this.
