Arrow Maze Solve
Follow the arrows, then break them. Navigate grid mazes where every cell pushes you in a direction, and work out the route that actually reaches the exit.
Arrow Maze Solve turns the humble grid maze into a logic exercise. Each cell carries an arrow, and stepping on it forces your next move in that direction. Since the arrows lie — dead ends, loops and long detours are all built into the board — the puzzle is choosing your entry route so that the forced path ends at the exit instead of cycling forever.
The Core Tension
You are not exploring freely; you are predicting. A level is solved the moment you can read three cells ahead and reject the tempting route that loops.
Good Habits
- Trace backwards from the exit. Find which cell must feed into it, then which feeds into that.
- Mark loops mentally. Any cell chain that returns to itself is a trap, no matter how direct it looks.
- Use the fewest steps only after solving. A short route that loops solves nothing; the long route that arrives is the answer.
Later boards add one-way gates and moving arrows, which turn the same reading skill into genuine planning.
🎮 How to Play
Basic Controls
- Your character starts at a marked cell on a grid.
- Each cell contains an arrow pointing in one direction (up, down, left, right).
- Step onto a cell and you are forced to follow its arrow to the next cell.
- You can break one arrow per level (tap it) to redirect your path.
- Reach the exit cell to complete the maze.
Strategy & Advanced Tips
- Trace backwards from the exit. Work out which cell feeds into the exit, then which feeds into that — this reveals the critical path.
- Save your arrow break for the bottleneck. Most mazes have one section where the arrows form a loop; breaking the right arrow there unravels the whole puzzle.
- Walk the path once before breaking anything. Many levels are solvable without using your break at all if you find the correct entry sequence.
- Count loop iterations. Some arrows cycle between two cells — if you are going in circles, that is where to spend your break.
- Look for multi-arrow cells. Later levels have cells with two arrows; you choose which to follow, effectively giving you a free branch decision.
Playing on Mobile vs Desktop
On mobile, tap to move your character one step in the direction you want. On desktop use arrow keys. Breaking an arrow requires a tap/click on the arrow cell itself. Both versions render the full grid on screen simultaneously.
Common Mistakes
- Breaking an arrow too early and wasting it on a trivial section.
- Getting stuck in a loop and restarting instead of analysing the cycle.
- Forgetting you can choose which arrow to follow on dual-arrow cells.

The late boards are brutal in the good way. Fourteen tries on one layout and I earned every one of them.
Resorted to tracing it on paper with a pen. It works. No shame in it.
Every arrow you flip changes the whole route, so you have to hold the entire path in your head first. My favourite kind of puzzle.
