Tank Era
Armour duel with a physics twist. Set angle and power, arc shells over cover and destroy the opposing tank before its return fire finds your hull.
Tank Era is turn-based artillery in the classic mould. Two or more tanks sit on destructible terrain; you raise or lower the barrel, set power, and fire a shell that arcs under gravity and reshapes the ground it lands on. Direct hits do the most damage, but the smarter use of a shot is often terrain denial — collapsing a ledge onto an opponent or removing the hill they hide behind.
Wind and Terrain
Later maps add wind, which changes every shot's arc, and moving tanks. That means the correct answer is never memorised — you recalibrate each turn, which is exactly what keeps artillery games interesting.
Fundamentals
- Fire flat over short distances — high arcs give a still target more time to move.
- Use the terrain as a weapon. A hill on the enemy side of your shot blocks it; shoot around it.
- Track the opponent's pattern. If they favour a jump move, pre-aim the landing spot.
- Never waste your last shot on a hope. Save angle knowledge for the killing turn.
🎮 How to Play
Basic Controls
- Drag to set the barrel angle and power of your shot.
- Release to fire — the shell follows a physics arc affected by gravity.
- Hit the enemy tank to deal damage; terrain deforms with each explosion.
- First to destroy the opponent wins the round; best of 3 rounds wins the match.
- Wind direction changes each turn and affects shell trajectory.
Strategy & Advanced Tips
- Check wind first. The wind indicator shows direction and strength — adjust your angle by 2-3 degrees per wind unit against the gust.
- Use terrain to your advantage. A hill between you and the enemy requires a higher arc; a valley can be used as a ramp for trick bank shots.
- Bank shots around obstacles. Bouncing a shell off a cliff face at the right angle can hit enemies hiding behind cover.
- Vary your aim. If you always shoot at the same power/angle the AI opponent adjusts. Mix direct hits with high-arcs.
- Lead your target. The enemy moves between turns — aim slightly ahead of their current position to account for shell flight time.
Playing on Mobile vs Desktop
On mobile, drag from your tank to set angle and power — a trajectory preview line shows the predicted arc. On desktop, use mouse drag or arrow keys for fine adjustment. Both show the same physics simulation.
Common Mistakes
- Ignoring wind and wondering why shots drift off target.
- Always using maximum power — lower arcs with precise angles are often more effective at close range.
- Forgetting that terrain deforms: a crater from your last shot changes the ground profile for the next one.

Matches are fine. A couple of maps have one obvious high ground that everyone camps from, which gets old.
Bouncing off the wall into a tank hiding behind cover is my favourite trick. Took ages to land it twice in a row 💥
Angle and power duels. The drift readout changes everything, and it is worth wasting a turn to set the next one up.
